About
I have a background in medicine, public health and epidemiology. After completing my MD degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in India, I worked at the World Health Organization in the epidemiology of infectious diseases, their surveillance, and evidence based, decision making for India’s National HIV prevention and control programme. Here, I also explored the drug resistance pattern for HIV as a public health approach, and created a framework for profiling of the HIV epidemic at the district level. Realizing the need of operations research for implementation of large-scale health programmes, I did Certificate course in Business Analytics and Intelligence, from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in India.
Presently I am working as Associate Professor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in India. I did Masters in Genomic and Molecular Epidemiology from Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam.
In the Precision Epidemiology group within dr Hieab H. H. Adam’s lab, I am working to unravel the genetic architecture of the shapes of human brain’s sub cortical structures.
