Migraine genetic variants and their influence on cerebral blood flow

Migraine is a severe recurrent headache disorder affecting more than 800 million people worldwide. However, the biological mechanisms underlying this disease are still poorly understood. Genome-wide association studies have identified many genetic variants associated with migraine, but their effects on cerebral hemodynamics remain poorly understood. Therefore, we have studied the association between migraine genetic variants and cerebral blood flow, to better understand vascular pathways involved in migraine occurrence.
