Heritability and genome-wide association studies of orbital telorism
The interocular distance, or orbital telorism, is a clinically informative measure. While its extremes, hypo- and hypertelorism have been linked to genetic disorders, little is known about the genetic determinants of telorism within the general population. Therefore, we aimed to study the heritability and perform a genome-wide association study (GWAS) of telorism.
