Genome-wide association study of human head size
Human head size is a highly heritable trait which reflects growth early in life but affects health status throughout the whole lifespan. In collaboration with the CHARGE and ENIGMA consortium, we are performing a meta-analysis of genome-wide association studies (N≈80,000) in order to obtain a better understanding of the genetic architecture and biological mechanisms underlying interindividual variations in human head size.
